At least one year experience in any of the following areas: Private Home Care, Retirement Communities, Short-Term and Long-Term Care Facilities, Medicine, Surgery, ER, ICU, Obstetrics and Geriatric Care
Education:​
-
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse educational program
Qualifications/Skills:​
-
Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
-
Ability to assess and anticipate potential problems and develop and implement solutions
-
Significant experience with total patient care planning
-
Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients.
-
Ability to perform independently and as a member of the healthcare team.
-
Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
-
Ability to function in a demanding and stressful environment.
-
Ability to work within established standards or policies, protocols and procedures of Elite Intellicare Staffing Ltd. and the various Regional Health Authority (RHA) of Manitoba.
Licensure/Certification:​
-
Must be a Canadian registered nurse in good standing with current licensing body
-
Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (nurses licensed to practice nursing in other Canadian jurisdictions must be eligible for licensure in Manitoba)
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification may be required depending on job site.
Conditions of Employment:​

Must be available to work stay-in days, evenings, nights and weekends

Must be able to obtain satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Security Check

Must be able to obtain satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check

Must be able to obtain satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check
